When a struggling household takes full advantage of Listen's Community Dinner Program, it is easier to meet heating, rent or other household expenses. Elderly guests remain successfully independent for a longer period.
Listen offers six Community Dinners five nights a week in two locations at no cost to those who attend. More than 40 cook teams prepare and serve nutritious meals at the Listen Community Dinner Hall and the Mascoma Senior Center. If sufficient extras are available, take-home containers are always available to bring meals to those who are homebound or to take for lunch the following day. Community Dinners are available to everyone, but we serve mostly seniors and low-income families with children.
Dinner is served promptly at 5:00 PM each night. Doors open at 3:00 PM.
