Community Dinners
When a struggling household takes full advantage of Listen's Community Dinner Program, it is easier to meet heating, rent or other household expenses. Elderly guests remain successfully independent for a longer period.

community_dinner.jpgListen offers six Community Dinners five nights a week in four locations at no cost to those who attend. More than 40 cook teams prepare and serve nutritious meals at local churches and senior centers. In 2007, Listen served 10,358 hot, wholesome meals. In 2008, we served 14,364 and in 2009, we served 19,712. In 2010 we are on track to serve more than 20,000 meals. Take-home containers are always available to bring meals to those who are homebound or to take for lunch the following day. Community Dinners are available to everyone, but we serve mostly seniors and low-income families with children.

Dinner is served promptly at 5:00 PM each night. Doors open at 4:30 PM.
