The Junction: Listen's Teen Lifeskills Center
A supportive, innovative resource for at-risk youth ages 15 - 20

The Junction provides a safe, drop-in space offering opportunities, services and support to help youth achieve goals. We are dedicated to working with those youth who may be hardest to reach or serve.

More than half of the youth we meet have experienced periods of homelessness or live in unsafe or temporary housing situations.
Our youth struggle with issues of substance use, employability, educational achievement, etc.

The Junction is a non-therapeutic, substance-free, structured environment. Staffed with supportive adults, The Junction is committed to addressing the following areas of personal development: 
  • Competence:  Effectively identifying and meeting one’s own needs.
    •    
  • Character:       Developing a sense of personal values, ethics and principles.
    •    
  • Confidence:    Creating a sense of self-worth and personal capacity.
    •    
  • Connection:    Forming positive social bonds-- feeling safe, accepted and having a 
                               sense of belonging.
    •    
  • Citizenship:     Demonstrating respect for societal and community norms and rules.

    • Youth are encouraged to set goals, face fears and make healthy choices.

    Home cooked meals are prepared and served community-style each evening. Everyone helps!

    Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 2-8 PM
    Sundays 12-5
    Closed Saturdays and Mondays

    The Junction is located in downtown White River Junction on North Main Street
